Youth Sewing Camp Session 1

A hands-on sewing experience designed for beginners. Students will learn how to safely use a sewing machine, understand basic construction, and create their own wearable pieces. Each student will leave with finished projects and foundational skills they can continue to build on.

Camp Details:

• July 13th-17th

• Ages: 8–13 (please reach out if you have older students who are interested)

• Skill Level: Beginner

• Duration: 1 Week (Monday–Friday)

• Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• Location: Studio (address listed)

• Class Size: Limited to 6 students

What Students Will Learn:

• Sewing machine basics

• Fabric handling and cutting

• Simple garment construction

• Finishing techniques

Projects:

• Tote Bag

• Pajama Shorts or Skirt

• Custom Top or T-Shirt Design

What’s Included:

• Sewing instruction

• Basic materials (fabric, thread, notions)

• Use of sewing machines -Machines are limited however you can bring your own or I will have one ordered for you at an additional cost.

What to Bring:

• Snack + water

• Comfortable clothing

• Closed-toe shoes
