Timeline
Creating a bespoke gown is a journey of artistry and precision. Our process ensures that your dress is a perfect reflection of your vision, fitted to perfection, and crafted with the highest level of craftsmanship. The entire process takes 6-8 months and consists of an initial consultation, four fittings, and meticulous design and sewing phases.
1. Initial and Design Consultation (Month 1)
Purpose: Define your vision and establish design details.
Meet with our designer to discuss your gown inspiration, style preferences, and fabric choices.
Take precise body measurements and assess silhouette preferences.
Review sketches and finalize design concepts.
Discuss budget, timeline, and any special customization requests.
Secure your place in our schedule with a deposit.
2. Design & Fabric Selection (Month 1-2)
Purpose: Finalize the design details and source materials.
Create a detailed sketch and technical design of your gown.
Select luxurious fabrics, embellishments, and finishing details.
Order custom materials and confirm production timeline.
3. Muslin Fitting (Month 2-3)
Purpose: Assess fit and refine the silhouette before cutting into final fabrics.
A prototype of your dress is created using muslin fabric.
Adjustments to fit, shape, and design details are made.
Ensure proper proportion and movement.
4. First Fitting – Foundation & Structure (Month 3-4)
Purpose: Begin shaping the final gown on your body.
The gown is partially constructed in your chosen fabric.
Boning, corsetry, and structural elements are evaluated.
Minor adjustments to bodice and foundation elements are made.
5. Second Fitting – Refinement & Embellishments (Month 4-5)
Purpose: Enhance details and perfect fit.
The dress is now more complete with embellishments or hand-sewn details.
Adjustments are made to ensure a flawless silhouette.
Final decisions on lace placement, beading, and finishing touches.
6. Third Fitting – Final Adjustments (Month 5-6)
Purpose: Perfect the fit and ensure seamless movement.
The nearly finished gown is worn to confirm drape and comfort.
Minor refinements are made to length, sleeves, and finishing touches.
Final pressing and steaming preparation begin.
7. Final Fitting & Pickup (Month 6-8)
Purpose: Ensure perfection before the big day.
The gown is completed, pressed, and ready for final try-on.
Last checks on fit, closures, and overall look.
Pickup and preservation recommendations provided.
